Our Jefferson Neurology physicians perform comprehensive neurological exams to identify the source of symptoms and develop a personalized treatment plan in coordination with our Jefferson Comprehensive Concussion Center team. Our neurologists evaluate patients for pre-existing conditions that can play a role in prolonged recovery following a concussion, such as premorbid headaches and migraines or other undiagnosed neurological conditions. In some cases, additional specialized testing is recommended. Patients will receive support in accessing specialized testing services such as medical imaging, ENT evaluations, or prescribed, comprehensive neuropsychological testing. Our neurologists will always review the results of any specialized testing with you and your preferred clinical team members in order to develop the best plan of care.
Treatment strategies often include medication therapy, rehabilitation, and work or school modifications.
