Occupational Therapy Assessment

Thursday, June 8th, 2017
Occupational therapy assessments are used by occupational therapists to measure brain function and subjective reports of difficulties with occupation and daily roles.
Occupational Therapy Assessment

Following an initial evaluation, occupational therapists administer a variety of assessments in order to better understand the needs and goals of their patient.

These assessments look at the following areas:

  • Attention
  • Executive Functions
  • Memory
  • Vision
  • Fatigue
  • Adjustment to Injury
  • Sleep/Hygiene

The goal of our occupational therapists is to maximize daily function for our patients by personalizing treatment to each client. The evaluation and continued intervention focuses on the improvement of cognitive and visual function after an acquired brain injury.
